Radiologic Technologists Inc. is working closely with state legislators and has drafted a bill for radiologic imaging and radiation therapy professionals. The NC CARE in Radiologic Imaging bill was introduced in the North Carolina legislature in 2013. A House Bill 742 was introduced on April 10 by Representatives Verla Insko and Tom Murry and has been referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services. Senate Bill 390 was introduced on March 20 by Senators Wesley Meredith and Stan Bingham and has been referred to the Health Care Committee.

Sometimes a mixture of highly enriched uranium (HEU) and low enriched uranium (LEU). Did you know CMS (Medicare) is offering a $10 additional reimbursement for Tc-99m coming from only LEU? Ask your nuclear pharmacy about this.
